I take time and effort to ensure that all my records are described accurately and fairly. All my items come with a money-back guarantee - if it's not as described, you can return it for a full refund.

******************************************

This is the first mono pressing of the White Album, complete with the original black inners, poster and photos. All four labels have the 'Sold in the U.K . . .' text and none of them say 'An EMI Recording'. All four sides of the record have the first matrixes (all ending -1) and they all have early mothers and stampers.

Matrix numbers, mothers and stampers:

XEX 709-1     1     HR
XEX 710-1     3     HH
XEX 711-1     2     PH
XEX 712-1     1     RM

Detailed description
Sleeve: The Garrod and Lofthouse, top-opening sleeve is really nice and clean with no damage, writing, splits, tears or stickers etc and just light signs of use. There are some creases around the edges, corners and openings, but nothing significant or unsightly. The sleeve has retained a nice bright white, with very little discolouration. The front of the sleeve has 'The BEATLES' embossed on it with the unique number 0217745. This is the correct MONO sleeve and so does NOT have anything on the rear. Inside the gatefold is very clean and the flipbacks are complete and intact.
Edge wear: top openings/left edge/right edge/spine/bottom: moderate/none/none/minimal/none. There is some slight laminate flaking on the spine, but the spine is firm and intact, clean and fully legible. There is some feathering to the openings.
Corner wear: The corners show moderate wear.
Vinyl: The vinyl has various hairlines, marks and scuffs as well as some non-feelable scratches (more-so on disk two than disk one, and most visibly on side four). I have played the entire LP (all four sides) and it plays through perfectly with no jumps, skips or sticking. There is surface noise and crackle audible in the quiet tracks and the run-ins/outs, fades, silent grooves and intros (less on disk one than disk two), the occasional random click and a few places where you get a repetive click as follows:
Side 1: six, just audible (in the right channel only) in 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps', followed by a few more which are even quieter and only intermittently audible.
Side 2: during 'Rocky Raccoon', intermittently audible, in the left channel only, for about thirty seconds ; a few intermittently audible and quite hard to hear in 'Don't pass me by'; five soft clicks in 'Julia'.
Side 3: five quiet clicks in the right channel in the false fade to 'Helter Skelter', then audible again for about twenty revolutions in the true fade and start of 'Long, Long, Long'.
Side 4: very quiet, intermittently audible during the first half of 'Revolution', a few clicks during 'Revolution #9' and about four in the fade to 'Revolution #9' and intro of 'Goodnight'; a soft swish during 'Goodnight' and nine soft clicks in the fade and run-out.
Labels: All four labels look great with no damage, writing, stickers etc and just typical spindle marking.
Inner sleeves: Original black inner sleeves are in useable condition, but both have some creases and small snags and tears at the openings and around the centre hole. One inner has small side splits and the other has a small side split and a very small bottom split.
Other inserts: The photos have just typical signs of handling with no major issues. The poster has some crumpling from handling, but no unwanted creases and no splits or tears. Neither the photos nor poster have any signs of having been displayed (no sellotape, blu-tac, pin holes etc).

Detracting features not covered above - none.

Please check out my other items and take advantage of reduced postage costs for multiple buys.

Information about descriptions.
My records are always described accurately and fairly. I always do my best to point out any blemishes which might detract from the item and all photographs are of the actual item you will get.

Visually-graded vinyl: Unless stated in the listing, vinyl is visually graded. I play-grade records where possible but I don't have time to play them all. I will not usually play-grade records which look near mint or unplayed, unless they are particularly rare.

Play-graded vinyl: I will always state in the listing if I have played a record prior to describing it. When I play a record I listen to it carefully through headphones with the bass and treble adjusted to expose unwanted noise. I play it all the way through (unless stated otherwise) and take notes of any noise, clicks, distortion etc which I then use to write my description. Please note that in some cases my notes may be made several weeks before the record is listed on ebay.

First pressings and originals: Many of the records I sell are first pressings and I will usually include the relevant matrix information etc in the description. However, I can't be an expert on every artist/group and so sometimes I will use the word 'original' to identify a pressing which I think is a first pressing, but don't know for sure (but which is certainly NOT a recent pressing or audiophile release etc). If you specifically want a first pressing, and know how to identify it, please ask the relevant questions before you bid.

POSTAGE & PACKING

I care about the records I sell and believe that they need to be carefully and securely packaged to ensure that they survive their journey through the post. Vinyl is removed from the sleeve for posting and the contents will be protected with rigid cardboard stiffeners. All packages are labelled "Do not bend" and securely sealed with "FRAGILE" parcel tape.
