IF YOU'RE READING THIS, YOU DON'T NEED ME TO INSULT YOUR INTELLIGENCE BY BANGING ON ABOUT WHAT A GROUND-BREAKING AND GREAT DOUBLE ALBUM THIS IS. I'LL JUST GET DOWN TO DESCRIBING ITS CONDITION.
IT CERTAINLY ISN'T A MINT EXAMPLE AND SHOWS SOME WEAR AND TEAR, BUT THE GENERAL PLAYING CONDITION OF THE VINYL IS PRETTY DAMN GOOD!

HERE GOES WITH THE VISUAL GRADING...
COVER:- Shows typical wear and discolouration associated with this album. Feathering at the top opening edges and a tear about an inch long running from the top in one of the gatefold sleeves (see pic). Probably a VG-.
VINYL:- Generally very good, retaining an excellent sheen with just a few minor surface marks. Quite a lot of whispy lines under a strong light.
LABELS:- Excellent. No writing, no sticky labels, no tears, with minimal spindle marking.
INNERS:- Original black in pretty good nick with solid edges but they do have tears where the die cut centres have been damaged.
4 PHOTOS:- They have holes top and bottom where they have been pinned through at some time. Apart from that they're excellent.
POSTER:- This is solid and complete but has obviously been up on some fan's wall and has general wear and is a bit grubby in places.

NOW FOR THE AUDIO...
The general quality of the sound on these slabs of vinyl is excellent. All frequencies are still clear and punchy and show the stereo mix off really well (much better than the mono version in my opinion - For instance, Revolution Number 9 is miles better in stereo).
On all four sides, some tracks play with no background noise and others have varying amounts.
I played this through in its entirety yesterday and found that, apart from having forgotten what a great album it is, the listening experience is certainly not spoiled by whatever background noise is present.
This of course is purely my opinion and as such, subjective. It's always difficult to grade a record that is less than perfect. The only thing I can say is that if you bid on, and win, this album and then when you come to play it, it falls short of my description, I will refund your hard-earned money on return of the album in the same condition that it left me.
TO SUM UP, IF YOU WANT A PRISTINE COPY OF THIS ALBUM, DON'T BID ON THIS ONE.
HOWEVER, IF YOU'RE HAPPY WITH A NUMBERED FIRST PRESSING, WITH EARLY MOTHER STAMPERS, COMPLETE WITH ALL THE CORRECT INSERTS, THAT WILL GIVE YOU A PLEASURABLE LISTENING EXPERIENCE...
WELL, YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO!

HAPPY BIDDING.

POST AND PACKING ON THIS ITEM WILL BE £2.50 TO ADDRESSES IN THE UK.
IF BIDDING FROM OVERSEAS, PLEASE ASK ME FOR A PRICE.
