Cover: Excellent. No writings/doodles or seam splits. Garrod & Lofthouse 1st Pressing wide-spine top loader with the stereo text on the rear cover. Nice clear number and nicely embossed with 'The Beatles' on the front cover. Seams firmly in place. Hardly any wear to edges and only the faintest of ringwear. Does have a couple of hairline laminate scratches to rear cover and minor lines on front cover - see photo. Inside is Excellent++.
Black inner sleeves: No seam splits or missing pieces but both have tears around the centre hole.
Labels: Near Mint - these often have stickers/names written on but these are in fab condition.
Side 2 has an "XP" embossed (tax?) code. I am not sure but I think this was intended to signify that the record was destined for Export and therefore exempt from UK purchase tax. To find a label with both "Sold in the UK..." text and an "XP" tax exempt code is apparently an extremely rare event as the 'Sold in the UK' text should not appear on records coded for export.
If anyone knows more about this "XP" code, please let me know and I will add to the listing.
Vinyl: Play tested. Sides 3 & 4 are VG with no skips/jumps but some crackle in places. Not particularly noticeable during the tracks. Sides 1 & 2 are Near Excellent to Excellent. Would benefit from a clean to bring back to its best.
Postage & packaging: £4 (UK) £6 (EUROPE) & £8.50 (REST OF THE WORLD)
Please read the following before bidding:

Gradings.......
Mint - The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality.
Excellent - The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality.
Very Good - The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and the light scratches.
Good - The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches.
Fair - The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise, it may even jump.
Poor - The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc
Bad - The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
