Up for auction is an incredibly rare, 100% complete archive copy of The Beatles' legendary 1968 self-titled masterpiece (The White Album). This is not a later reissue or a stereo mix; this is a True Day-One UK Mono First Pressing featuring the highly coveted typographical error where the text "An E.M.I. Recording" was completely omitted from all four Apple labels. This error was corrected within days of production, making complete 4-side misprints exceptionally difficult to find.
Coupled with a low serial number (No. 0096017) and the original top-loading sleeve, this is a holy grail addition for serious variant collectors.

The Labels: Genuine Apple labels missing the "An E.M.I. Recording" text across Sides 1, 2, 3, and 4.

The Sleeve: Original 1968 Garrod & Lofthouse gatefold jacket with Top-Loading entry slots and the embossed "The Beatles" title on the front.

Unlike most listings that rely solely on visual inspection, this copy has been fully play-tested on a high-fidelity setup so you know exactly what you are bidding on.
The Vinyl (Visual: Good / Playgrade: VERY GOOD MINUS): The records show vintage scuffs and surface marks and some scratches (see photos) However, they play with tremendous mono punch and warmth. Crucially, the records play through with virtually no skips—just standard, non-overpowering vintage surface crackle in quiet passages. A highly enjoyable, fully listenable copy.
The Outer Gatefold Sleeve (Good Plus / G+): Shows honest age, minor shelf wear, and laminate lifting typical for a 50+ year old white sleeve. The spine is intact, the embossed text is sharp, and the numbered stamp is completely legible. No major structural splits.
The 4 Glossy Portrait Photos (VG+): All four original color photos of John, Paul, George, and Ringo are present, intact, and free of pinholes or tape stains.
The Lyric/Poster Sheet (VG+): The original fold-out lyric poster is included. It shows typical fold wear but is fully intact with no splits.
The Inner Sleeves (Good / G): Includes BOTH original 1968 matte black die-cut inner sleeves. They show standard handling and minor splits but are remarkably preserved for being so notoriously fragile.
