BEATLES - WHITE ALBUM.

Cover is a very nice example of an early top loading cover (records load into top as opposed to later side loading covers).

Cover is numbered 0072527.

Side and bottom edges in good condition. Top edges scuffed where records have been put in / removed. Spine is in good condition although there is a 3cm long, 8mm wide area where the cellophane has come off. Cover is whiter than most although some general ageing is present. Spine lists Stereo and Mono numbers ('Stereo PCS 7067-8 Mono PMC 7067-8'). 'The BEATLES' embossed on the front in very good condition.

4 insert photos are all present, look to be in excellent condition, no folds, no writing, no tape, no pinpricks, no tears.

Poster with lyrics and photos also present, good condition although its obviously been unfolded a few times.

Record labels are all in excellent condition, very little spindle wear, early dark green apple versions. Contain the 'Sold in UK' text. These are the very early labels with 'An EMI Recording' not present above the 33 1/3 number.

Record comes in original black paper inner sleeves, both with creases and some tears.

Matrix numbers as follows:

Side 1 XEX 709-1 . Stamped 5HL

Side 2 XEX 710-1. Stamped 3HH

Side 3 XEX 711-1. Stamped 1GH

Side 4 XEX 712-1. Stamped 1GL.

Playing surfaces: On all 4 sides there are a number of light scratches as well as a few heavier ones. I would say that these are good rather than excellent condition. Having played all 4 sides, the scratches do cause clicks in a number of places, although overall the audio is good. During 'Birthday' there are 2 skips resulting from a scratch. All the other songs played without getting stuck, without skipping.

Both records flat with no warping.
