Original 1968 Pressing on Apple Records PLAY TESTED on a REALISTIC LAB 400 Direct Drive Turntable with an AUDIO-TECHNICA AT90CD Cartridge.

This is a solid early pressing of The Beatles' classic 1968 LP. The vinyl still has plenty of shine and gloss but does show subtle blemishes, mostly hairline scratches. The records have been play tested and, while they do sound sweet with the presence only an early pressing on vinyl provides, there is some surface noise with very occasional pops. The song BLACKBIRD contained a skip on first play, but after a good cleaning of Side 2, I am happy to report the skip is gone.
PLEASE NOTE: These are well-played records with obvious wear. This album was play-tested on MY stereo system. I cannot guarantee the same results if these records are played on lesser equipment.
The cardboard sleeve has some moisture stains that an all "white" album makes obvious (please see pictures). However, the jacket is solid and will hold the records without concern. A previous owner (a vintage Beatlemaniac no doubt) wrote his signature on the back of the jacket in red ink (see pictures). The poster has some separation on one side where there is a fold/crease and shows some of the same moisture exposure as the cardboard.
Having typed all that, these 55-year-old records are an absolute joy to hear! This WHITE ALBUM would be a solid addition to any collector seeking affordable vintage Beatles' recordings.
