THE BEATLES - The White Album

(Apple PCS 7067-8 UK double LP 1968)

This is the original UK stereo double LP pressing in very nice condition! This is also the rare "Rocky Racoon" label mispressing! It has a toploader fully laminated gatefold sleeve with inner flipbacks. It has an embossed "The Beatles". No: 0367485. It has mono/ stereo catalogue numbers on the spine & "Stereo" stamped on the rear. It comes complete with both its original black inner sleeves. It also comes complete with all four portrait photos & gaint fold-out lyric poster. The records are pressed on thick vinyl & have dark green Apple labels. The labels also have the "Sold In The UK..." wording across them. The 1st press matrix numbers are: YEX 709-1/ YEX 710-1/ YEX 711-1/ YEX 712-2. The mother stampers are GPL 5, G00 3, HA 1, LH 2, GPL 5 & G00 3 respectively. All & all a complete & original UK stereo pressing with the added bonus of it having the "Rocky Racoon" label error. These are very rare so don't miss out!

Gatefold sleeve: A very small strip of tape has been put on the front bottom corner-tip. It only covers 1cm on the front & 2.5 cm on the inner. Otherwise the sleeve is very nice & shows only minimal wear. Very NEAR EX condition

Vinyl 1: There are about six light hairline marks across both sides. These are only very light & seem to be careless needle scuffs. Otherwise light sleeve rubs only. VG condition. I have play-tested this LP in its entirety & it plays excellent+ There is only very, very minimal crackle in the quietest places. The labels are lovely & clean & show mild spindle wear only. The previous owner has written the cat number & date 21/11/68 in pencil in the top right-hand corner. There is a small & thin bit of taper residue at the sides & bottom also. All this barely seems to notice too much. Funnily there are no actual seam splits on the sleeve at all!

ALL GRADING IS VERY STRICT & ADHERES TO 'RECORD COLLECTOR' SPECIFICATIONS. HOWEVER I HAVE FINE TUNED THEM & THEY ARE EXPLAINED BELOW. ALL VINYL IS EXAMINED CLOSELY UNDER A STRONG LIGHT & PLAY TESTED

MINT Condition = AS good as a copy you would buy from a shop, immaculate!

NEAR MINT Condition = Very nearly mint just slightly under, maybe a couple of very, very light paper sleeve scuffs that can only be seen under strong light. SOME WOULD CLASS THIS AS MINT. This disc has been played a couple of times at most. Cover is virtually perfect - very minimal wear only.

EX Condition = A clean & tidy copy that shows virtually no defects. Maybe one or two light needle scuffs or light sleeve removal marks that can only be seen under strong light. There will be no scratches. Play will be near perfect with no distortion. Cover will be very nice with maybe very minimal creasing, ringwear or edgewear.

NEAR EX Condition = You can tell this record has been played a few times but it has been well cared for. There will be minor surface marks only; that barely detract from the sound quality. Cover may have slight creasing or ringwear. A very serviceable copy that you will be pleased with.

VG Condition = A well played but serviceable copy. There will be a few marks on the vinyl, but they won't be nasty scratches, just relatively light needle scuffs and sleeve removal marks, they will be noticeable but won't detract from play too much. Cover will show signs of storage/ ageing, e.g., creasing, slight folding, spinewear, ringwear or sticker tears. The record will not be trashed!!
