The BEATLES
PLEASE PLEASE ME
UK STEREO PRESS!
1/1 Mothers
&
'Patents Applied For' inner

This was the very first official release, being released on the 22nd of March 1963 (MONO version) and later on the 26th of April 1963 (STEREO version). The Lp reached number one in; Disc Weekly, Melody Maker,  New Musical Express and The Record Retailer in the UK. Only to be knocked off by their next album With The Beatles.

Amazingly the songs, which were taken from their first two singles and included a further ten songs, were all recorded in one marathon session at Abbey Road Studios. John wasn't feeling too well and got throught the 3 sessions in the one day by having milk, tea and Zubes lozenges....

1/1 MOTHERS!!!
*lovely and early*

Vinyl:
G+.
152g
Lovely, heavyweight vinyl...Still has it's sheen.
There are many light marks to the vinyl and she plays back with some background noise throughout....I found one stick-right inbetwenn tracks 4 and 5 on side 1. There are two small dimples to the vinyl too..
However, she plays through and would display well too.

FLAT, HEAVY AND SHINY-ORIGINAL!

Labels:
VG+.
There is only a very small amount of central hole wear, as can be seen in the pictures. There are quite a few LIGHT spindle marks, visible only when angled towards the light. Other than that the labels stand out nice and clean, with no writing or rips.
'KT' tax code to side 1.
Outer rim text starts with "The Parlophone Co.Ltd" "Recording First Published 1963" stated under the printed matrix number.
VERY DISPLAYABLE

Inner:
VG+.
Original "Use Emitex" inner....Light creasing-With a small tear to one side, near the window-That really is all!. She is all original and carries the very early "PATENTS APPLIED FOR" text to the bottom left corner, on one side.
Certainly done her job keeping the record in simply fab condition!
NO WRITING, RIPS OR TEARS!

Cover:
G+.
Clear front image with very little fading.
SMALL-SIZE "Stereo" to the top right corner.
Many spidering points near the opening and the bottom left corner.
Corners have some rubbing.
Made of strong card
The Garrod & Lofthouse flipbacks have some damage as there is a 5cm piece missing from the bottom right corner on the back...Please see the detailed images for yourselves. It does carry the Angus McBean in the lower right corner on the front.
There is also writing and scribbles to the back card-again, you can see it in the images provided....I am not hiding anything.
Strong and legible spine.

Please see the detailed photo's:

SO folks, this is a COMPLETE copy of the sparsely produced Please Please Me in STEREO.
