Description
SEALED original Apple Records 1969 pressing of the BEATLES "Yellow Submarine". This is a promo copy as evidenced by the punch hole in the cover's bottom left corner. Spizer version APP 153.SR1. Since it's still sealed, it is not known which Capitol Records plant pressed this one (Scranton, LA, etc.), however Columbia Record salso pressed some copies of this LP for Capitol.
The original pressing of"Yellow Submarine" can be noted by the lack of Capitol, EMI, or Apple logos on the bottom of the cover's rear. Only a tiny Capitol Records logo exists on the spine near the catalog #. Later pressings added one or more of their logos on the cover's rear.
The shrink is fully intact with no tears. A slight discoloration occurs at the breath hole at the cover's front upper right corner.
I use the visual grading standards of the Cox/Daniels "Price Guide For The Beatles American Records" (6th edition). These grading standards tend to be more stringent(and, due to this, are graded slightly lower) than Goldmine. See my various photos of the cover and records. I grade conservatively so the buyer knows exactly what they are bidding on.

The right front corner has a slight bump and the punch out hole. There is a very slight amount of staining under the shrink in a few places... very common due to the shrink's breath holes and the cover's white background. No cover with the promo punch hole can be considered MINT, even if all else is 'perfect'.
