Description
Up for auction is a copy of Yesterday And Today by The Beatles, released in 1966 on Capitol, cat no ST 2553. This is a stereo second state paste-over Butcher cover, RIAA number 5, indicating a Los Angeles pressing.
Condition: front cover has some minor ring wear at the bottom, and an inch of seam split on the lower edge, but is generally fine. Ringo’s turtle neck “V”-shape clearly visible. Some pen marks to track listing on rear of cover, which you wouldn’t see if you’re planning on framing this (“Yesterday” seems to be a favourite…!). Vinyl has a couple of scuffs, but plenty of gloss. But you’re not really buying this for the vinyl… If it weren’t for the pen marks, this would be a great copy, but…. VG for the cover, VG+ for the vinyl.
My grades: I use a 10-point scale: M-; EX; VG+; VG; VG-; G+; G; G-; F (fair); P (poor). I never use mint as a grade for used records. I am a long-time (25+ years!) record collector, and play-grade where possible. I don’t use stock photos: the item pictured here is the item for sale. My feedback from buyers indicates I normally undergrade in listings. Even so, if you have any problems, I'll give you your money back (less shipping costs), no questions asked. Buy with confidence!
