Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab / Capitol Records MFSL 2-072, 1982

Miniscule ring-shaped rubbing on lower front cover and lower rear cover, and a double crease mostly visible on the backside near the spine. See pics.

Vinyl, Disc One:  VG+
There are two (2) little split-second jumps during 'Back in the USSR' (side one / track one) and one (1) little split-second jump during 'Martha My Dear' (side two / track one). Close proximity to the cover opening likely expose those two songs to dust particles in the air. There is also a hint of sporadic background crackle in the first few minutes of each side, as per usual with a 30-year old record. (these playback issues can be corrected with a proper/professional cleaner.)  All other songs besides 'USSR' and 'Martha' play without any problems at all. Sounds friggin' fantastic, actually. (Far superior to a 1968 pressing!) As for the vinyl, visually it is still very shiny black, like brand new, and furthermore there are no scuffs, no scratches, no surface blemishes of any kind. Just one thumbprint. Check out the reference pics for a peek at what the records look like.

Vinyl, Disc Two: VG++
The vinyl is still very shiny black, like brand new, and there are no issues with playback. Background noise comes and goes - typical for a 30-year old record. But overall there is very little noise at all. Sounds amazing. No scuffs, no scratches, no surface blemishes ... not even a thumbprint. Again, check out the reference pics.

Inner sleeves (thin cardboard MFSL sleeves): MINT
No issues. The records come in their original audiophile quality anti-static poly/plastic sleeves, which fit inside harder paperstock MFSL fold-up sleeves.

In contrast to every other seller, my prices actually get LOWER the more records you buy from me. And again, you'll NEVER pay extra for shipping. Promise!

BTW, if you see pricetag stickers in the photos, that’s because I sell these records offline as well. They are easily removed from the plastic sleeves, and I will carefully remove them before shipping. As for the sleeves, those are yours. Bonus for you. I have tons.


GRADING

I don’t up-grade my records to make more money. Usually, VG++ is as high as you’ll see me go. Near Mint is rare, usually play-test verified. And Mint? That is reserved for sealed items in pristine “like new” condition.
