Description
ARTIST: THE BEATLES
TITLE: THE BEATLES aka 'THE WHITE ALBUM'
LABEL: APPLE PMC 7067 & 7068
This is a great example of this iconic LP. Its rare to find totally complete example like this copy with all elements in VG or EX condition. This copy has the original black die-cut inners, 4 original photos PLUS white paper spacer (this almost never survives) and a lovely original poster/ lyric sheet. The top opening sleeve is printed with No 0142578. Record two has a KT tax code which very few white albums do because it wasn't used much after late 1968. The overall condition is taking into account all items is VG+.
It is an early first pressing. The matrix numbers and XEX 709-1, XEX 710-1, XEX 711-1 and XEX 712-1.
The vinyls are both VG with light marks on all playing surfaces. That said both LPs play with little noticeable deterioration in the sound quality. Record 1 does has a little back ground crackle more noticeable in quiet passages and there is an audible click for a few revolutions on side 3. Record 1 plays VG+, Record 2 plays EX. I would say both LPs are of an acceptable playing standard.
The G&L top opening gatefold sleeve is in EXCELLENT condition with no creases, no laminate loss, sharp opening edges and straight spine. It is a bright unfaded white on colour very close to its original hue. The inside cover with its internal flipbacks is even whiter. There is only very minimal corner wear. There is a small area of surface wear on the rear which I have shown in a photograph.
The original black die cut inners are notoriously fragile but these are in excellent shape with only small tears on the die cut circle caused by putting the LP in carelessly.
All four photos are EX+ in condition and the white paper spacer is very rarely found.
The poster is also EX and a very fine example.
Taking all the elements into account I would grade the whole as VG+.
If you are bidding from an EU country the postage is £10.00, the rest of the world is £16.60

BUYER INFORMATION
I am a collector and I only sell records from my personal collection. I aim to be totally objective about the records I sell. However please note that unless the play quality is specifically mentioned records are graded visually. I aim to describe the visual appearance of all items accurately using the standards below which are based on the UK Record Collector Price Guide. The highest grade I use now is NEAR MINT. Records graded EX+ or EX++ would probably be called 'near mint' or 'mint' by most sellers. Please READ THE ITEM DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY and study photographs to avoid disappointment later. The item will not magically transform into a mint copy. I will refund only on items which do not conform to the description and standards set out here.
GRADING SYSTEM
NEAR MINT: The record appears to be in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and other inserts are perfect. For MINT grading see above
EXCELLENT: The item has been played and may have some light surface marks but there is very little, if any, lessening in sound quality. Cover and contents have slight wear.
VERY GOOD: The record has been played quite alot but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Cover and contents show some wear.
GOOD:The record has been played many times and the sound quality has deteriorated noticeably. The cover and contents are often damaged.
I use EX++,EX+,VG++,VG+ as subsidiary gradings. Unless the record is extremely rare I do not sell items which are less than VG in condition.
Check out my feedback and you will feel secure in bidding but please note I cannot guarantee to describe every detail of the record and cover BUT the grading will reflect the general, actual condition.
