JOHN LENNON & THE PLASTIC ONO BAND

INSTANT KARMA!

SINGLE SIDED DEMO/ACETATE

APPLES 1003

6th FEBRUARY 1970

1G STAMPER ON SIDE 1

KT and APPLES 1003 A-1 STAMPED ON SIDE 1

 EX+ CONDITION.

This is a stunning archive example of an extremely rare John Lennon demo, I have never seen another pressing that is quite the same and with it being a test demo pressing it is quite possible that this is the only one to exist with this text on the label.

Instant Karma was amazingly written and recorded on the same day which was 27th January 1970 and it was released 10 days later with the finished article being 3 mins 18 seconds long, this particular test pressing is 3 mins 15 seconds long. There were 10 takes done in total on the day this being one of them.

On the day of the recording George Harrison was at the Apple studios and he pulled in Phil Spector who was working on Harrisons All things must pass to produce the single.

So there we have it, this is a stunning rare item which can be traced back to the exact day of recording and it is in excellent condition.

A superb peice of Beatles/Lennon history.

On 29-May-13 at 17:56:03 BST, seller added the following information:

Just to clear up any confusion, this is not a metal acetate, this record is a 100% genuine demonstration test pressing with the Apple custom labels.
