THE RAREST 1ST PRESS ISSUE KNOW AS "LOUD CUT PRESSING" 1965 MONO MADE IN THE UK BEATLES "RUBBER SOUL" LAMINATED FRONT VINYL ALBUM.
I try to grade my records honestly, I use the record collector grading system which is explained below, I am always conservative in my assessment of record condition, trying to grade as I would expect to see when I purchase a record.
MATRIX CODES: (XEX 579-1 (XEX 580 -1).
OTHER INFO: PMC1267, E.M.I RECORDINGS,PARLOPHONE CO, PUBLISHED IN 1965, GREAT BRITAIN, MONO.
ORIGINAL COVER:
IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION FOR IT AGE, THERE IS NO DAMAGE APART FROM SLIGHT DISCOLOUR DUE TO AGE, SEE PHOTO.
ORIGINAL VINYL COVER: IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION, NO DAMAGE TO IT AT ALL, WHICH IS AMAZING AS THE PAPER IS SO DELICATE, JUST HAS SLIGHT DISCOLOUR TO THE THIN PAPER .
VINYL: IS IN EXCELLENT TO MINT CONDITION WITH ONLY 1 OF THE TINIEST VISIBLE HAIR LINE MARK (THIS CAN ONLY BE SEEN VERY CLOSE UP AND THE LIGHT ON IT, IT IS NOT DEEP) APART FROM THAT IT LOOKS BRAND NEW AND IT LOOKS LIKE IT HAS HARDLY BEEN PLAYED, AMAZING CONDITION FOR IT'S AGE.
THE LABELS ARE IN EXCELLENT TO MINT CONDITION WITH NO DAMAGE.
I HAVE BEEN TOLD IT PLAYS VERY GOOD (I DON'T HAVE A RECORD PLAYER) AND IF THERE IS ANY SCRATCHES THEY ARE NOT DEEP ONES WHICH WOULD CAUSE PROBLEMS WITH THE SOUND OR PLAY.
RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM
In order to assist everyone who buys and sells rare discs, Record Collector magazine has originated a set of standards for the condition of second-hand records, cassettes and CDs. The seven standard condition categories, and a description of what each one means, are listed below:
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
