Description

I have been collecting records for decades and the time has come for some of them to find a new home. Most will be in excellent condition, some have been in my family for years and remain unplayed. I will grade them all fairly and listen to most before listing.

All of them will be professionally cleaned before being sent.

Please don’t hesitate to ask questions if you have any. Thanks very much for looking !

Up for auction here is a Rare first Uk pressing of the Beatles Lp Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band in Mono. This was released in the Uk on Parlophone records in 1967 catalogue number PMC 7027.

This copy is complete with all the original inners.

It has the matrix numbers XEX 637- 1 on side 1 and XEX 638- 1 on side 2.

The mother stampers are AAH 37 on side 1 and RHR 19 on side 2.

The vinyl is visually in Excellent condition and looks in very nice shape. There are a couple of light superficial sleeve removal type marks but visually it looks really nice.

I have listened to the vinyl at high volume and it plays through really well. There is some background crackle and the odd pop and tick but on the whole it plays nicely and sounds good. I will grade the audio as Very Good+.

The labels are also in Very Good+ condition. They have the KT stamp on side 2.

The original Garrod and Lofthouse gatefold sleeve is in Very Good+ condition with some light signs of wear and some creasing to the spine. There is no writing or splits.

The original cutouts inner sleeve is excellent.

The original flame inner is free of splits and in nice condition. The record will be sent in a new polylined inner.

Overall a really nice copy of this classic.

All of my records will be sent well packed so they arrive as intended. Depending on the value they will be sent insured and tracked delivery.

I use Record Collector ratings to grade my vinyl. These are :

Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.

Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening of sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

Good: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration etc..

Fair: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise: it may even jump. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

Poor: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise etc.. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

Bad: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
