Description

The Beatles, "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band", original 1967 UK LP on Parlophone PC 7027 mono. Tracks: sgt. pepper's lonely hearts club band / a little help from my friends / lucy in the sky with diamonds / getting better / fixing a hole / she's leaving home / being for the benefit of mr. kite / within you without you / when i'm sixty four / lovely rita / good morning, good morning / sgt pepper's lonely hearts club band (reprise) / a day in the life. Gatefold sleeve will grade Vg. No serious or terminal issues, minor wear / creasing / edge creasing. There is some spine creasing but the text is still clear. Disc will grade Vg also, some marks and scuffs under a bright light. However, apart from a little crackle on the run in, odd patch throughout & a couple of minor clicks, both sides play well, clearly and loudly. Complete with the "Fool" inner ( Vg, age browning, feathering & very small split at the top) & an untouched insert (good Ex).

Believe this to be the very early 2nd rare 1967 pressing variant as the label on side 2 omits any mention of the last track, "a day in the life".  Sleeve, fully laminated inside and out, top flipbacks only, bottom rear has the Garrod & Lofthouse "patents pending" text. Disc has no "mono" text,  matrices are XEX 637-1 / XEX 638-1, has the "sold in U.K. subject to resale price conditions" text. Side 1 has the extra dot between "in" & "UK", (see photo). As stated, label on side 2 omits the final track "a day in the life". "Fool" inner has the "patents applied for" text.
