Hello and welcome. Beginning in the 1960s, I made it my goal to collect every 5-star record still available, and I continued my search for 40 years. While not all the records I list for sale reached that lofty goal, they do represent an undying search for the unique and wonderful in the world of sound. I'm happy to be able to offer them to you now. Here is what you're bidding on: TITLE & ARTIST: "Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band" - by The Beatles on the British Parlophone Records label (PMC 7027), in ORIGINAL MONO sound, released in 1967. CONDITION: JACKET - VG/VG+ (British "floppy" jacket has extensive wear to corners and edges; ring wear and rub wear front and back; name KING written inside; serious ding to lower right corner that includes both of the gatefold jackets, as well as on the "cut-outs" insert that's included - please see actual album in photo); VINYL - VG+ (Parlophone Record's vinyl has many light scuffs and scratches, but these are virtually inaudible as I listen now to the recording on my Rega turntable; the monaural sound is so rich and dense that it's almost like Spector's Wall of Sound - Visually Graded under custom spotlight and aurally graded by my very old ears). SPECIAL FEATURES: Very rare '60s rock classic album, from the most famous artists of all time. It's amazing how good every song on this record sounds, way beyond just listening one more time to an old record. Visually it's a VG+, but aurally it's Near Mint. The only time I hear any "record noise" is between tracks, and then some light pops. This Parlophone edition has the legend: "This is a mono recording. A splendid time is guaranteed for all" in the lower right back corner. Wicked special. SS (Still Sealed as from the factory); NM (Near Mint - our highest grade; the vinyl has only a very few light marks that do not affect play); VG++ (Very Good Plus Plus - a few more light marks than Near Mint; still a great record that plays near perfectly); VG+ (Very Good Plus - an enjoyable, played and loved, obviously used but still listenable record, usually with some light pops, but free of major audible distraction; jacket may be lightly worn, slightly dinged, even very lightly split, but NEVER trashed); VG (Very Good) and below - we usually do NOT sell these, but if we have some good reason to offer such a record, we will explain completely).
