Description
This auction is for a complete UK Beatles 'Let it Be' Box set. Released by Apple records in 1970, cat no: PCS 7090. These box sets were notoriously fraagile and its getting harder to find complete and intact examples.
The outer slipcase for this copy is in Very Good condtion with just some minor creasing and bruising to the edges. The two inner tray's which hold the book are in Very Good minus condition, the outer tray has lost its shape a bit on both spines and there is a one inch split along the bottom edge of the inner tray. This could however be fixed and this is not a bad example at all , most of these trays have been completely wrecked by the weight of the record and especially the book they were designed to carry, this one has held up pretty well.
The 'Get Back' photo book is in Very Good condition, it has firm covers and spine and all pages are present though six are now loose inside the book. The first issue record sleeve with the red apple to the rear is in Very Good plus condition with a firm spine, there is some light ringwear and small amounts of creasing and small patches on the corners and bottom edge where the laminate has come away. The record carries the correct first pressing YEX 774-2U/3U matrixes and is on the dark green Apple lable. The labels are in lovely Mint Minus condition and I would guess the record has only been played a few times. The vinyl itself is still beatifully glossy with just a few light hairlines on the vinyl and it plays with only some light background crackle between tracks. There are no loud pops, sticks or jumps and its an enjoyable listen. Vinyl I would grade as Excellent . A respectable all round example of this increasingly rare Beatles box set.
