Description
This is a very good stereo U.S. pressing copy of the debut LP by American beat/folk-rock group the Beau Brummels, released in 1965. Taking their name from a 19th-century British dandy, this Bay Area group was one of the first to rise to prominence in response to the so-called British Invasion. Their debut contains their two top 20 hits, "Laugh Laugh" and the moody "Just a Little," along with eight other Ron Elliott-penned originals and covers of "Oh Lonesome Me" and "Ain't That Loving You Baby." The jacket is in fine condition with 2” of tearing from a removed sticker or piece of tape near the top seam on the back cover (see photo), some minor loss of the cover slick (exposing the cardboard underneath) along the top seam and in one corner, and light ring wear on the back cover -- EX(-). The disc has several long hairline scrapes and some scuffing and loss of glossiness, and it plays with steady surface noise that is mostly noticeable between tracks, with no pops or skips in the many sections I tested (VG+).
I am in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) discs except where otherwise noted.
