PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Hard to find = THIS (mint) CLEAN = Original 1964 first pressing ...
The Animals' On Tour album begins with their guitar-liquefied classic "Boom Boom (Gonna Shoot You Right Down, Take You In My Arms - I'm In Love With You! Love That Is True, Boom Boom Boom Boom. I Like The Way You Walk! )" and this album doesn't let up from there. Because: "On Tour" is a really great album -- it's sort of the American version of the second British album Animal Tracks (as opposed to the third American album, which was then unconfusingly titled Animal Tracks). We're again looking at a bunch of raw, punchy 12- and 16-bar blues and r'n'b progressions, but this time around they've upped their ante to include some jazz influences and much more impressive instrumentation. A full FOUR songs show clear jazz influence, for the first and basically LAST time in their career: these would include the fun-as-monkeys speed piano bopper "Mess Around," lounge jazz groove ballad "How You've Changed," slow melancholy "I Believe To My Soul" (featuring a terifically skillful jazz piano solo) and Hilton's jazz guitar virtuoso showoff piece "Worried Life Blues." The rest is the great rowdy rockin' r'n'b-based ANIMALS music paired with a pop/rock approach. But here, let's open the cover and peek inside:
In addition to improving "Bright Lights Big City" 500-fold through hypnotic guitar and metronome drumbeat, and beating the crap out of the Yardbirds' tinny renditions of "Boom Boom" and "I Ain't Got You," Eric And Company herein present the first original Animals-written HIT SINGLE. This would be, was, and still is, a speedy anxious troubled blues shout-rocker called "I'm Cryin'." Anyway, onward, the Rolling Stones did a harder rocking "She Said Yeah," but Eric & co are right behind ravin' & rockin' ...then it's smooth sailing for fans of soulful Eric, belting and bellowing, standard chord changes, and Hammond organs with tremelo guitar riffs abound all over the place...
