BEAUTIFUL FIRST PRESSING ALONE WITH DION 1960 VG+++

Thank you for viewing my auctions. I sincerely appreciate the interest and kind comments made about me and my collection in the feedback section. It feels good to know that you share my passion regarding the 50's and 60's and the music that changed the world, forever. It was a blessing for me to be a teenager during the early 50's, listening, dancing and Bopping to the the best of the best. Most of the albums you will be viewing are from my 50+ year old collection and are original issues. Sometimes I include albums given to me or purchased from friends or relatives. I do not go to swap meets, garage sales, or thrift stores. I do go to record conventions as time permits. You will be bidding for very rare, original issue and quality albums. Sometime I will list rare re-issues or later pressings. They will be stated as (re) in the listing. I use Goldmine Standard Catalog as a grading guideline and tend to be conservative in my approach.  All records are played through prior to listing for accurate grading.

(NM or NM-) NM records are shiny with no visible defects such as writing, stickers or needle marks on the labels. The album cover should have no creases, folds, seam splits or any signs of human handling. It also will have no ring wear.

(VG+) or (Excellent) May show some slight signs of wear, including light scuffs or very light scratches that do not affect the listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are OK. Minor signs of handling are OK. The cover might be marred by a cutout marking, small hole punch, a cut in the spine or a promotional stamp and even a tiny bit of ring wear.

(VG) Have more obvious flaws such as lack of gloss, groove wear, light scratches and needle marks. When played there will be surface noise that will not overpower the music overall. Noise in the passages, between songs is common. The cover may have minor seam splits, writing, tape, stickers, ring wear and scuffs.

(VG-) Is just a compounding of the VG category. Many obvious flaws but if the record is rare, may very well be worthwhile. I do not list record lower the above grades.

Remember, when you are bidding, most of these records are usually 50+ years old and have been out of print for a very long time. When you consider that, damage, loss, and normal use or wear has reduced the market to the point that few of these wonderful treasures are even available today.

My auctions end on Saturday or Sunday and I ship the following day, Monday. Every shipment is stamped and dated the day of shipment. I have no control over the time of arrival to your home or place of business. When you receive your album (s), please look at the date on the Delivery confirmation or in the case of out of the country shipments, the Customs Declaration and if you feel your album (s) were overdue, please contact your postal department and let them know.

Due to the value of my collection, I will help you save on shipping fees when you have multiple winnings. I have ordered special album boxes for shipping. All boxes will have four FRAGILE, Phonograph Record stickers. This is an attempt to let the postal people know they are handling sensitive boxes. There will also be a mailing confirmation. FROM MY PERSONAL COLLECTION: You are bidding for a beautiful and very rare first pressing of Alone with Dion, recorded in 1960 on the Laurie label LLP 2004 in High Fidelity. This is the Gold label with black print and is valued at $200+ NM in the Goldmine Price Guide and this one is close.. You should know that this very rare album has the three wallet size color photos in the inside strip and they are in new condition. The very thick and glossy almost 50 year old album cover is in super condition. There is no discoloration, writing, tape, scuffs, wrinkles or tears, only a 3" split in the middle on the bottom that can be easily repaired. I almost didn't see it when I started to list, as I have not looked at the album in a very long time. It was barely noticeable The liner notes in the inside cover is clean and crisp with only the slightest hint of discoloration. The full color picture of Dion is stunning. and 99.9% Flawless. The black shiny record has maintained its rich glossy look and the labels are clean, showing only some very light spindle marks from minimal use. I inspected the record under a 100 watt light and there were no scratches, just a couple of paper cuts. It is beautiful to look at. When played, there were no skips, sticks, loud pops or noisy hisses, just the golden voice of Dion and an almost perfect listening experience. The songs include; Side 1, Lonely Teenager, After The Dance, P.S. I Love You, Save The Last Dance for Me, Little Miss Blue, Havin' Fun. Side 2, Close Your Eyes, Fools Rush In, My One And Only Love, North East End Of The Corner, One For My baby, Then I'll Be Tired Of You. This is truly a classic collectible and more than worthy of the best of homes. Based on the Goldmine Guide, the album cover is graded VG++, the listening experience Near Mint and the record VG++. There is no reserve.
