Most of the albums you will be viewing are from my 50+ year old collection and are original issues. Sometimes I include albums given to me or purchased from friends or relatives. I do not go to swap meets, garage sales, or thrift stores. I do go to record conventions as time permits. You will be bidding for very rare, original issue and quality albums. Sometime I will list rare re-issues or later pressings. They will be stated as (re) in the listing. I use Goldmine Standard Catalog as a grading guideline and tend to get conservative.

All records are played through prior to listing for accurate grading.

GRADING GUIDELINES!

(NM or NM-) NM records are shiny with no visible defects such as writing, stickers or needle marks on the labels. The album cover should have no creases, folds, seam splits or any signs of human handling. It also will have no ring wear.

(VG+) or (Excellent) May show some slight signs of wear, including light scuffs or very light scratches that do not affect the listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are OK. Minor signs of handling are OK. The cover might be marred by a cutout marking, small hole punch, a cut in the spine or a promotional stamp and even a tiny bit of ring wear.

(VG) Have more obvious flaws such as lack of gloss, groove wear, light scratches and needle marks. When played there will be surface noise that will not overpower the music overall. Noise in the passages, between songs is common. The cover may have minor seam splits, writing, tape, stickers, ring wear and scuffs.

(VG-) Is just a compounding of the VG category. Many obvious flaws but if the record is rare, may very well be worthwhile. I usually do not list records lower than the above grades.

Remember, when you are bidding, most of these records are usually 50+ years old and have been out of print for a very long time. When you consider that, damage, loss, and normal use or wear has reduced the market to the point that few of these wonderful treasures are even available today.

FROM MY PERSONAL COLLECTION: One of the very first records I purchased was in 1956, and this was my favorite. I have kept it with my most special albums for safe keeping. This beautiful gem is most rare and rarely ever available to the general public, especially in this condition.

Still in the original sleeve, you are bidding for a beautiful original first pressing of A Rock 'N Roll Dance Party and recorded on the R.P.M. Label LRP-3001 in High Fidelity. This is the Black Label with Silver Print, valued for $500 NM in the Goldmine Price Guide and this beauty is one of them.

The 55 year old, thick glossy album cover is in near new condition. There are no seam splits, discoloration, ring wear, tape, tears, writing or wrinkles and the liner notes in back are like new and no discoloration. The thick black, deep groove shiny record is beautiful and the the labels sparkle, showing just a couple of small spindle marks. I inspected this rare beauty under a 100 watt light and there were no scratches, scuffs or groove lines, and few light feathery surface lines/paper cuts from removing the record from the sleeve. I played the record just prior to listing and the record sounded near new, no skips, sticks, pops or hisses. It was wonderful. The songs include; Side 1, Dance With Me Henry (Etta James), Ko Ko Mo (Marvin & Johnny), Don't Be Angry (The Cadets), Eddie My Love (Teen Queens), Don't Be Sorry For Me (Jimmy Beasely), Cherry Pie (Marvin & Johnny). Side 2, I Got A Gal (Joe Turner), Church Bells May Ring (The Cadets), All Nite Long (Joe Houston), A Casual Look (Little Clyde), How Soon (The Jacks), Heartbreak Hotel (The Cadets). This is one of the the most desired group collectibles ever produced, listing the early R&B Groups, most of them in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. This album is one for the ages and based on the Goldmine guide, the album cover is graded NM, the quality of the listening experience NM and the record NM. There is no reserve.
