BEDEMON is an off-shoot project of the Washington DC area metal legends PENTAGRAM which began in 1973 as a project by Heavy Metal fanatic/horror-film journalist Randy Palmer, a huge Black Sabbath fan who wanted to record some of his own songs. He enlisted good friends Mike Matthews on bass and PENTAGRAM co-founders Geof O'Keefe on drums and Bobby Liebling on vocals (Palmer himself would join PENTAGRAM as a member briefly and appears on some of their 70s studio recordings). Together BEDEMON recorded fifteen songs throughout the 70s, but it should be noted: these are NOT studio-quality recordings. They were recorded purely for fun on a home reel-to-reel recorder at the warehouse where PENTAGRAM rehearsed, and as such, the sound quality is garage-band level. They were originally never intended for release, but after passing out a few copies to individuals, bootlegs began turning up and the "band" decided to release these sessions officially. Palmer tragically died in 2002 following an auto accident, three months after recording a brand new BEDEMON album, finally released in 2012 entitled Symphony of Shadows.
In 2005, Italy's Black Widow label released Child of Darkness: From the Original Master Tapes, a collection of all fifteen tracks taken from the master reel-to-reel recordings and cleaned up as best as they could be. The album was released in both CD and LP format. While the main LP release was in standard black vinyl, there was an extremely limited pressing of 200 copies in RED VINYL. This copy being auctioned here is one of only twenty-three copies that have been individually hand-numbered on the cover, insert, inner sleeve and record label itself, and in addition, have been personally autographed on the four-page insert photographs by members Mike Matthews and Geof O'Keefe, who each wrote different little messages on every copy along with their autographs, such as "Play it Loud!" and "Doom On!" so each numbered copy will be unique. This particular copy being auctioned here is #22 of 23.
The LP and cover are as close to mint as possible, exactly as received directly from Black Widow and have never been played. The CD and album are currently out-of-print, and this legitimate and very limited RED VINYL pressing is incredibly rare. The track listing is contained in one of the photos.
The LP will be well-packed with cardboard pads in a sturdy cardboard LP mailer. Please message me with any questions, and note my 100% positive feedback rating. I am a one-person operation, not a store or company. I've been doing music mail-order for nearly forty years, and appreciate good service and hope to provide the same to you.

Canada: 1st Class with mandatory Registration - $29.
International: 1st Class with mandatory Registration - $37.
I realize these rates aren't cheap. I have no control over what the USPS charges. You can check the USPS website for a package this size and weight and the rates listed to various locations. While many dealers ship by Media Mail, that can take a week or longer to arrive, increasing the risk of damage and loss. I choose to ship by Priority in the US as the less time it spends in transit, the less chance of damage, and both tracking and requiring a signature assures you I sent it and me that you received it. Along those same lines, the overseas mandatory registration is to protect both myself and you. The registration fee for Canada and overseas is $13.65 and the rest is the shipping costs for a 1st Class Air package of this size and weight.
