Description

Up for auction is a copy of Barry Gibb And The Bee Gees 45 Turn Around, Look At Me (the Jerry Capehart song, also recorded by Glen Campbell), backed with Theme From Jaimie McPheeters, released in 1964 in Australia (only) on Leedon, cat no LK 745. The fifth of the Gibbs’ 45s for Leedon, this was, like all their others up to that point, a flop. Curiously, it marked the first time (and almost the last time) a non-Gibb composition had appeared on an a-side of one of their singles. All the Bee Gees Leedon sides are rare; this is among the rarest. There are two label variations of this 45: one credits Barry Gibb And The Bee-Gees, the other “The Bee-Gees featuring Barry Gibb”. I don’t know which is the rarer…

Condition: not bad. There are a few marks on either side causing clicks & pops but not jumps or sticks. Both sides still play fine & sound great. Labels are blemish-free. All round VG-.

My grades: I use a 10-point scale: M-; EX; VG+; VG; VG-; G+; G; G-; F (fair); P (poor). I never use mint as a grade for used records. I am a long-time (25+ years!) record collector, and play-grade where possible. My feedback from buyers indicates I normally undergrade in listings. Even so, if you have any problems, I'll give you your money back (less shipping costs), no questions asked. Buy with confidence! Any questions? Need any more photos or an audio sample? I'm only an email away.

Payment: UK- cheques (preferred) or Paypal. Rest Of World- Paypal. Email for other accepted methods of payment. Shipping: £2 (UK), £3 (Europe) £4 (rest of world-airmail). Check my other 60s pop auctions; combine orders & save on shipping costs!
