Release date: November 1966.  Recording dates: April & May 1966 (except “Spicks and Specks” – early July 1966).

On offer here is an EXTREMELY RARE original AUSSIE MONO SPIN Records issue of the “Spicks and Specks” album by THE BEE GEES.  This LP features BARRY GIBB’s earliest SPIN label singles including “Monday’s Rain”, “Spicks and Specks” & “Born a Man”.

What makes this particular copy of the “Spicks and Specks” album more collectable is that the ABORTED “Monday’s Rain” printed label appears on Side 1, while the correct printed label appears on Side 2.  Be sure to check out the digital photos!

front: EX+ beautiful laminated appearance: insignificant ring-wear (outer rim – very hard to see), very minor creasing (along spine, top seam & top-right corner), minor surface rubbing, tiny spot stains (along spine - towards bottom seam).

back: EX flipback—impressive matt finish: very light ring-wear (outer rim), insignificant creasing (along spine), minor spot stains (mainly along opening edge), original price “$5.85” (written in pen) appears towards top seam.

Record:

visual: EX beautiful glossy sheen—exceptional, some insignificant hairlines & few very light surface scuffs only (seen under strong light).  QUALITY THICK VINYL PRESSING!

audible: EX sounds SUPERB overall, some underlying static which you would expect from a disc of this vintage, hardly any signs of groove-wear as this disc has hardly been played!

labels: light spindle wear.
