Description


For sale is:

Beethoven – “Choral” Symphony (Symphony No. 9 in D Minor, Op. 125).

Soloists: Elisabeth Schwarzkopf, Soprano – Elisabeth Höngen, Contralto – Hans Hopf, Tenor – Otto Edelman, Bass.

And the Orchestra and Chorus of the 1951 Bayreuth Festival conducted by Wilhelm Furtwängler.

This auction is for the 2 LP set ALP 1286 and ALP 1287. this is the original UK 1 edition.


Vinyl: Both vinyls were visually checked under strong light and are in VG+ condition, black and shiney with almost no signs of play.
only flaws are a few tiny sleeve removal marks that can be seen only in the dead wax area, and a few faint hairlines, unfeelable and do not affect the playback.
no scuffs, scratches or any other flaws. LPs looks almost new with original luster.

Covers: one fully laminated flipback cover is in VG+ condition and other is VG, no seam splits, complete readable spine, and no major flaws. only flaws are a bit ringwear and a few small creases and tears. please see super detailed pictures.


Labels: UK red & gold labels are clean as new with no flaws that I can spot.

LPs will be housed in a new MFSL inner sleeves and will be shipped in a stiffened and padded box + the original plain nylon sleeves.


I am record collecting for many years but new as an ebay seller. I will conservatively grade the records and start the bids at a low price.
