Description
This is a 5LP box set from 1977 and features Itzhak Perlman & Vladimir Ashkenazy playing the sonatas for violin & piano by Beethoven. Included is a full-size 4 page booklet in English and French.
The discs are dated between1974-77. The matrix numbers on the runouts are as follows: ZAL 15073-3W & 15425-1A ZAL 14655-1W & 13988-1A ZAL 13989-3A & 15218-1W ZAL 15219-1W & 15426-1A ZAL 15427-1A & 15074-2W
Each disc is housed in a Decca printed poly-lined inner sleeve.
The item will be posted in a commercial Defenda LP mailer made of corrugated cardboard.
Condition of Discs The discs are clean and glossy, with negligible signs of wear or spindle-wear (or 'squirreling') around the centre holes. I have listened to excerpts and they play beautifully. Overall, I have conservatively graded the discs as "Excellent" (Record Collector grading system).
Condition of Box/Booklet etc The booklet is a bit grubby, with faint spots of foxing, graded 'Good'. The box is in one piece and the hinged lid works perfectly but there is some shelf/handling wear at the front top edge and spine where the cardboard is starting to split, graded 'Good'.
