Issue : RARE UK 1st PRESS Label : COLUMBIA Catalogue No : SAX 2297 Matrix : YAX 257-14 / YAX 258-5
This UK rare 1st press is on the earliest light blue and silver Columbia label. It is complete with the very earliest YAX 257-14 / YAX 258-5 matrix, the original Columbia EMI inner sleeve and laminated flipback Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve.
The vinyl is in Near Mint condition. There is a sensational jet black gloss, every track gleams. The label is also superb, the light blue is exceptionally bold and the silver text is immaculate. There is no spindle wear. It is in fabulous condition. It is complete with the original ploylined inner sleeve in Excellent condition.
The sound quality is Near Mint. The vinyl lies completely flat on the turntable and the sound is exceptionally rich and vibrant. There is superb separation and clarity throughout.
The laminated sleeve is in Excellent condition. This sleeve is in superb condition. The image is sharp, the colours are sensational and the laminate is flat and glossy. There is just a little fading on the opening edge and the slightest corner wear. The text is solid and the white rear of the sleeve is perfect. The whole sleeve is very solid and the spine is firm with clear text.
