BEETHOVEN: THE NINE SYMPHONIES-Ernest Anserment conducting L'Orchestre De La Suisse Romande-London BTH-S-1 8LP Box Set
The records are all in decent condition with few marks or scratches. There is a minor concern with a small scratch found at the beginning of the 2nd Symphony, 4th Movement. Symphony No. 4 labels both say side 2, but this is an error. I played all eight records and found some had been played more than others from the tics and pops, yet none (save the small scratch mentioned above) had any issues to be concerned about. None of them skipped for me. These have also been issued separately with different labels. Sold "as is." The least costly way to ship this set is Media mail.
ABOUT MY RECORD GRADINGS:
I don't like a single grade system as some records I've purchased looked Excellent to Near Mint and only sounded Good on one side while sounding Very Good on the other. What I will attempt is to give one overall grade with either a written description or additional ratings for different aspects of a record. All my records are cleaned and played before they are listed so I can make sure you get a relatively accurate description. This way you can make a wise decision when buying my records. If you fell like I am inaccurate in any way PLEASE LET ME KNOW!
I clean each record, regardless of condition, before it is listed. I have memories of ordering used records that you could follow where the stylus has been when you played them. They are cleaned gently with a very soft cloth, using only distilled water and a very mild soap if needed. They are also vacuumed-usually three or more times-so as to be as clean in the grooves as I can possibly get them.
I also give you a visual description as to what I see on the record surface as pictures, while helpful, are sometimes difficult to see light scratches or scuffs.
I have played each record to make sure that it will play for you. While no guarantees can be made, I know if it plays for me, it should play for you.
