Description

Up for auction here at NO RESERVE is an original box set of the Beethoven Nine Symphonies conducted by the Great Bruno Walter on the original Columbia "6 eye" label in Stereo. Presented in a deluxe oversize, clothbound book, THIS IS THE WAY TO own Beethoven's 9 symphonies. Great recording, great performance. The cover shows a bit of wear, mostly on the spine (pictured), but there is a bit of wear to the right front and rear corners as well. Overall, very nice. The 49 page booklet is also very nice; a couple of light brown spots on the front cover, but otherwise, excellent. Most of the LPs look untouched, brand new; but 2 of them have a couple light sleeve marks that should not affect play. This set is practically new. I will also be selling a reissue of this box set if you want a copy to play without regard to original issue collectability. This is HEAVY, it won't be cheap to ship. I would also like to warn overseas buyers, that I WILL NOT SHIP SURFACE RATE. It takes too long and too many packages get lost or damaged. Please factor these costs into your purchase price. Well packed and out the door, it's going to be around 6 lbs. Please check my other auctions for some really great classical and chamber music LPs as you may be able to save significantly on shipping costs. Most are minty fresh. I may have more than I can comfortably list in one week so bookmark me and check back once a week. I cleaned out a local collector in town and there are many treasures to be had. Feel free to email me with specific wants as I have unlimited access to his huge archive, but not unlimited funds with which to speculate.
