Beggars Opers - UK LP - `Prog Classic`
I was born and raised in Glasgow, and from the early 60`s into the 70`s I saw a lot of great Glasgow bands live on the pub and club scene long before some became more well known to a wider public. The likes of The Poets, White Trash, The Beatstalkers, The Pathfinders, Dean Ford and The Gaylords(later Marmalade) and Beggars Opera. I first saw Beggars play live in a pub I fquented called the Burn`s Howff in the city centre in the late 60`s when they were in their late teens/early twenty`s and they were awesome. The Howff was famous for starting of the careers of the likes of Stone The Crows, AVB, White Trash, Alex Harvey, Midge Ure etc. etc. But I only saw Beggars a few times because not long after they started in the Howff I took up the resident DJ spot in a club called Joanns for next 9 years. But I did see them live one more time in the Green`s Playhouse in 71/72. By then they had some line-up changes with Victoria having also joined about a year earlier. But as usual they were awesome. No doubts....those were the halycon days.

Vinyl stunning Mint minus (visually looks unplayed). Swirl labels Mint minus.
Audio like new except for a miniscule manufacturing fault. A miniscule bit of risen wax at the start of `From Shark To Haggis` cause 4 faint bass drum sounds as if a microphone had been placed a wee bit to close to the bass drum. In all probabilty 49 years ago my brother must have thought the same as it coincides perfectly with the actual beat of the song. No noise dead wax and condition and audio are still awesome,just like the band were.
Fold-out Poster Picture Sleeve EXC+. Two halfs sides of the folds have light surface rubbing (see pictures).
Original die-cut, poly-lined Company Swirl inner Sleeve EXC+.
One owner(brother)been in protective sleeve approx last 30 years.
Still Fantastic condition after nearly half a century.
