Description
Available here is a 12” white label demo or test pressing record by Bell + Arc. Apart from the artist name, which is hand-written on the playing side of the record and additionally on both sides of the plain white cover (seemingly by the same hand), no other distinguishing marks of note are present.
Bell + Arc featured the blues rock singer Graham Bell, briefly reunited with some of his former Skip Bifferty band mates, performing as the band Arc. The record contains three tracks which would eventually form part of the self-titled album of the same name, which was first released in the UK by Charisma in 1971. With just a single album and one or two international singles to the name, Bell + Arc rarities are few and far between but this record certainly qualifies. The tracks appear in a different order to their positions on the actual album and are separated by rather long gaps. They are as follows …

Identifiers - The playing side of the record bears the following marks -
Matrix / Runout - Side A - Stamped - BCP 4 -1U
Vinyl Condition - Very Good - The record is quite bright and clean and while there are a few light surface marks, there are no worrying scratches. Having listened all the way through, I can confirm that there is no jumping or sticking, although the odd light click may be heard. However, there are degrees of background crackle/noise, although never overly intrusive. I’ve only given the record a cursory clean, so the sound quality may be improved with a little more attention.
Cover/Sleeve Condition - Very Good - Simple white sleeve and probably the original given its somewhat worn appearance, most notably with creasing around the corners. There is also an outer plastic cover.

It is not my intention to profit from postage. If possible I use good clean recyclable material but I also buy bubble wrap, brown paper, packing tape and glue and all items are well wrapped and protected before posting. Items are also weighed and postage calculated before I list at auction and a small percentage of the charge does go towards packing costs.
