BELLE GONZALEZ - BELLE
Rare and sought after 1972 UK 1st pressing, little played with near mint vinyl and superb sound quality
Year/Label : 1972 UK COLUMBIA Label number : SCX 6484 Matrix numbers : YAX 4309 - 1, YAX 4310 - 1 Stampers : 1 R / 1 A Near Mint (NM) condition vinyl - completely flat and retaining it's original jet black lacquered sheen and in daylight comes across as perfect and completely unmarked. Even with close inspection under a bright light the condition of the vinyl is difficult to fault - exquisite! The labels are in excellent plus condition with just a single small and extremely faint spindle trail adjacent to the centre hole on each label. Clearly this is a record that has been only very sparingly played - a few times at most. Excellent plus (EX+) condition front side textured Garrod & Lofthouse outer sleeve...again, difficult to fault. There is some sporadic and very light scuffing on the bottom edge (very minor) but that's about it! Each edge remains firm, including the spine with all spine text remaining perfectly intact; each corner is a perfectly defined right angle with barely any rubbing at all; the reverse side flipbacks are near perfect; the opening edges remain firm with no fraying; and all artwork and text, including the exquisite textured front-side, remains wonderfully intact. Remarkable for a 53 year old 1st pressing such as this! Superb near mint (NM) STEREO sound quality with no sticks, skips, repeats, clicks, distortion or background crackle - wonderful tone and crystal clear mono reproduction throughout with Belle Gonzales' enchanting vocals a real standout. Every track remains a flawless listen. Comes with original excellent condition poly-lined and correctly dated ("2-72") inner sleeve with no side splits or edge fraying and barely any age discolouration or creasing. Note that I always ship the vinyl in a new plain white inner sleeve in order to protect the original. There can't be many better condition copies of this exquisite 1972 UK 1st press folk gem - beautiful, enchanting, haunting, and more!POSTAGE COSTS :

Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.
