30 years on from Ten Days Of Blue, the Peacefrog record whose beatless lattices and heartbroken sequencing put John Beltran on the map, and here he is on Kenneth Bager's Copenhagen Balearic institution Music for Dreams. Sunrise And The Life We Live runs to eleven tracks, with ten originals plus a closing remix of Ambala, Anders Ponsaing and Troels Hammer's 'Quiet Yellow Purple', worked here into a 'Let It Go' dub by Beltran himself. The originals open with 'Blue Green Eyes' and drift through 'Soft Rain', 'Eire', 'The Watering'. Following the fashion of beatless or near-beatless ambientcraft throughout, it's a wholly aerated, unhurried album, echoing the earliest days of Earth & Nightfall but with much deeper, developed production.
