Up for sale is a BEN VAUTIER 10" bakelite anti-music/art object 'Musique Total' dedicated to John Cage.
It's a numbered edition of 40 copies (16/40) and the 12" sleeve is handsigned by Ben.
The record is a found object of another record intended as music without music. With handglued labels and playable at any speed.
Released by Dutch label Slowscan, Vol.14, 2001. On the sleeve notes there's a description of how this record should be 'consumed'.
Being a found record the importance of the work as a record is less relevant than its status as a fluxus multiple.
A very rare fluxus artefact in perfect condition.
