A super rare 1961 BBC Transcription Service 4LP. 7 sides are dedicated to the opera, the 8th has etching. Conducted by Britten himself features Peter Pears as Captain Vere, Joseph Ward as Billy Budd and Michael Langdon as Claggart, with the BBC Men's Chorus, the Watford Boys' Grammar School choir and the BBC symphony Orchestra. Comes with cue sheets. Due to policy change by the Post Office here, packages this size (LP) will be charged 16.50GBP to ship (Europe) and 25GBP rest of the world. PLEASE WAIT FOR INVOICE.
DESCRIPTION :Vinyl is VG+. Labels are clean. Sleeves are VG. There are black marker writings on edges (catalogue numbers), discolouration on corners. These are the older style covers with inner plastic lining. One of these linings has come unstuck on one side of envelope..
