Description

For auction is BENNIE GREEN's "Walkin' and Talkin" BLP 4010, MONO, DG, RVG, EAR, 1959.

SOUND: VG/VG+

It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. Overall, the playback is excellent, with powerful, clear sound. The only caveat is the presence of light surface noise underneath, with occasional soft tics. Nothing overpowering, more identifiable in softer passages, but overall you mostly have to strain to hear it.

VINYL: VG/VG+

Visually, the vinyl looks clear of any serious flaws. There are a few faint marks or scuffs on either side, but nothing I could "feel," and all appear superficial. The record has a flat edge. The record is on Blue Note labels with deep-grooves, and RVG stamped in dead wax. "EAR" symbol is etched on both sides. Labels are clean and in very good shape, with a few spindle marks.

JACKET: VG+

The jacket is very nice! Edges and spine are solid, with only the most minimal wear. The corners are very good, also with routine wear. Front laminated cover is excellent, with several faint "promo" stamps. Back cover too, has several "promo" stamps, otherwise very clean/bright, with minimal wear or aging.

The photos are of the exact record up for bids. Look before you bid, ask if you want any additional info or pics.

A rare record in good condition. No reserve, bidding starts at $50.

Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability.

Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.

If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction. I'm not a collector, nor an audiophile, but I think they are desirable if you're into this kind of material.  Click "see other items" and thanks for looking!
