For auction is BENNIE GREEN's "Walking Down" on Prestige PRLP 7049, MONO, 1956.

SOUND: VG/VG+

It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. Overall, the playback is excellent. The title cut has a recurring tick, which begins at a low-to-medium volume for about the first 60 seconds, then gradually fades to nothing over the next 3 minutes or so. This cut wouldn't do for a perfectionist, but I feel it did not overpower the music, nor the enjoyability. The rest of the record, both sides, sound very nice indeed! The only caveat is routine, very soft surface noise here and there, nothing out of the ordinary for a "VG+" record.

VINYL: VG

Visually, the vinyl has a number of scuffs or light needle marks on both sides. The title cut (A1) contains a scratch that is just feel-able with a fingernail, so most likely the source of the tick I described. The record is on gold/black "fireworks" Prestige with deep-grooves bot sides. As well, this record has the "446 W. 50th St" address. The Side-B label is stamped, "Not for Sale."  Run-outs have "RVG" etched on both sides. Matrix #'s are etched: "PRLP-7049-A // PRLP-7049-B."

COVER: VG+

The cover is very nice. The edges are solid with minor wear. Corners also have slight wear. Both front and back covers are fairly clean, with only routine aging/wear. There is a "promo" stamp the top back.

The photos are of the exact record up for bids. Look before you bid, ask if you want any additional info or pics. 

A rare record, with a few flaws but clean overall, sounds very good. No reserve, bidding starts at $50.

Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability. 

Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.  

If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction.
