GETTIN' WITH IT

NEW JAZZ NJLP 8248

Curtis Fuller (trombone) Benny Golson (tenor saxophone) Tommy Flanagan (piano) Doug Watkins (bass) Art Taylor (drums)

Rudy Van Gelder Studio, Englewood Cliffs, NJ,   December 23, 1959

April In Paris Tippin' On Through Blue Streak Baubles, Bangles And Beads Bob Hurd's Blues

ALL GRADINGS ARE BASED ON THOROUGH VISUAL INSPECTION AND A FULL AUDITION

RECORD

1st original 1960 US mono pressing

Punched hole on both purple clean labels (see pic)

Deep Groove on both sides

Wearless spindle hole

Matrix / runout (Side A)  : NJLP.8248-A engraved by hand

Matrix / runout (Side B) :  NJLP.8248- B engraved by hand

and RVG machine engraved on both sides

This thick and heavy vinyl shines and sparkles as new, and, excepting the noted above hole on the labels, would be graded MINT-, looking virtually free of any signs of handling. With NO scuffs, NO marks, NO scratches, NO groove wear. With just insignificant, rare, microscopic, extremely light, absolutely unfeelable pin-pointed pressing defects, hardly visible under a strong bulb lamp on side A

Plays great (Very Close to Mint) on both sides with only one light skip on the first track of the side B, caused by one invisible pressing flaw. NO other blemishes. With NO tics, NO clicks, NO surface or background noise

Superb high fidelity sound !

Cleaned with CLEAR AUDIO VACUUM MATRIX using its PURE GROOVE professional solution

COVER

1st original thick, laminated front, cardboard rear jacket

The front side retains its striking original shape with NO laminate lifting

Tight edges and sharp corners

Seams and spine: INTACT with NO wear

With NO ring-wear, NO dog-eared corners, NO seams splits, NO tears, NO writings, NO stains

Excepting the punched hole in the center of the cover, I would grade the front side MINT-, and the back side ( 203 SO. Washington Ave, Bergenfield, N.J. address) EX++  because of "Review copy" stamped in red and a minor amount of shelf wear affecting a slightest part of the graphics

NOTE : our records are strictly graded . Please check our feedback seller. Email for any question.
