NOTE: Another super cool album from Benny Golson. This one is from 1959. The team consists in Benny, Curtis Fuller trombone, Tommy Flanagan piano, Doug Watkins bass, Arthur Taylor drums. These albums from the late fifties are the records that every jazz enthusiast should own--especially on the original, thick and heavy NEW JAZZ label!!.  This blowing session from Benny and the guys is something that helps to define what Jazz is. A super cool record from the best period in the history of jazz music. Benny and Curtis Fuller form a spectacular front line. They complement each other perfectly. The Flanagan trio comps impeccably. This music is still modern, almost fifty years later. This quintet has the sense of time and the super cool attitude only the greatest combos in Jazz had the privilege to own. THIS is AN ORIGINAL (1959) NEW JAZZ PRESSING; MONO; DEEP GROOVE; RVG ENGRAVED DEADWAX; DEEP GROOVE - STELLAR VINYL & COVER (spine unrubbed and clearly readable!!)...gentlemen, this one doesn't get any better than this.....if you buy only the primo audiophile original jazz, this one fit the bill; even has the old rice paper inner sleeve!!
VINYL: VG++ to pushing Near Mint, but for the exception of a few very slight sleeve lines and a few spindle marks - all other indications is that it is carefully played and preserved and 'loved' LP..
Cover: VG++  laminated cover--glossy; no defacing writings; slt. stain reverse; seams tight; spine seam unrubbed!  readable!
