Description

Original 1937 12” 78rpm of Benny Goodman’s orchestra playing Sing, Sing, Sing in two parts, one on each side. This is the original issue of this classic. It is like the hard rock of its day, a totally wild and unbelievably rollicking 12 minutes or so of relentless hard swing. Gene Krupa just goes out of his mind on this recording, and so do the rest of the band, including Goodman himself. One of the all-time greatest recordings of any jazz music of any era. And this copy is just beautiful, with barely the slightest wear. Just the tiniest surface scuff or two, but very shiny and clean with no clouding or much sign of having been played much at all. This is truly a top copy of this masterpiece.
