Description
The Benny Morton and Jimmy Hamilton Blue Note Swingtets LP (US, Mosaic Recordings, MR1-115). With only 7500 copies made well over 20 years ago, this is an amazing copy of this long gone Mosaic LP issue of these classic Blue Note recordings from the mid-1940s, marking the transition between the Big Bands and smaller jazz combos to come. Condition of the vinyl is near mint, beautiful shape! The gatefold cover is excellent to near mint condition, very close to M-, with only a couple tiny spots of wear on the bottom edge. There is also a slight raising/bubble to the front cover slick in the bottom left of the front cover (along the white margin on the far left), that has probably been there since the date of manufacture. The music is culled from a Blue Note 78 and from 33 1/3 rpm session acetate, so some slight surface noise from the source may be audible (from technical notes on the back of the LP, which state that no filtering or noise reduction was used). US priority mail is $12. Insurance is recommended and an additional charge, based on the final sale price. International airmail postage is $15 plus $11 registered mail = $26. Express airmail is also available for $35 (faster service). Insurance for overseas shipments is available for an additional cost, but requires the item be declared at full value for customs - you are responsible for your local customs charges.
