You are bidding for a CLASSIC UK 50'S ROCK 'N' ROLL INSTRUMENTAL LP record by BERT WEEDON called HONKY TONK GUITAR issued in the UK on the TOP RANK record label in 1961, cat number 35-101 (RED AND WHITE LABEL, MONO). Side 1; I WONDER WHERE MY BABY IS TONIGHT, BYE BYE BLACKBIRD, PRETTY BABY, THE VARSITY DRAG, ELMERS TUNE, MA(SHE'S MAKING EYES AT ME). Side 2; MCHARLESTON, CAROLINA IN THE MORNING, CHICAGO, JEALOUS, SWEET GEORGIA BROWN, IN A SHANTY IN OLD SHANTY TOWN. The record is in excellent condition with excellent labels. The record has little wear with few slight scuffs and few slight surface scratches and plays with no jumps and clicks and a minimum of surface noise. The original picture sleeve is also excellent a. CLASSIC 60'S UK GUITAR INSTRUMENTAL ROCK 'N' ROLL ALBUM from BERT WEEDON featuriing CLASSIC STANDARS given the upbeat rock and roll treatment by BERT WEEDON. BERT WEEDON had a string of instrumental hits during the late 50's and wrote a guitar tutor called PLAY IN A DAY whch was virtually responsible for tteaching just about all the UK rock stars how to play the guitar before forming groups and defing the UK ROCK SCENE. He was on television showing budding plays chords and the techniques of playing a guitar. UK rock and roll owes him a huge debt. RARE in good condition, from my own collection.
