Description

7 vintage 78rpm records all the work of BERT WILLIAMS. Six of them are 10 inchers and the 12 inch is one of his preacher records. All blue label Columbians. The songs on the 10 inchers are I WANT TO KNOW WHERE TOSTI WENT/GET UP; UNLUCKY BLUES/TEN LITTLE BOTTLES; NOBODY (his signature song)/MY LANDLADY; CHECKERS IT'S YOUR MOVE NOW/I'M SORRY I AIN'T GOT IT YOU COULD HAVE IT IF I HAD IT BLUES; BRING BACK THOSE WONDERFUL DAYS/OH LAWDY! (SOMETHING'S DONE GOT BETWEEN EBECANEEZER AND ME); I CERTAINLY WAS GOING SOME/WOODMAN SPARE THAT TREE. The bigger one is ELDER EATMORE'S SERMON ON THROWING STONES/ELDER EATMORE'S SERMON ON GENEROSITY. All played fine on my windup but I haven't put them on in years. It's true all this material has come out on cds but when I played these on my wind-up I swear I felt his presence was right there in the room alongside me; or at least trapped somewhere within the morning glory horn. More of an immediate presence heard on these old 78s then what you hear when you plunk in one of your cds for some strange reason. Media postage based on weight/distance to be paid by purchaser.
