1947 issue; recorded 1929, 1930 and 1933.
Records are in E- / V++ condition. Labels are good. Binder is in Very Good Condition, shelf wear, binder spine is intact and tight. Liner notes by George Avakian and photo of Bessie Smith inside front cover.
Some of the Bessie’s finest recordings, including her last recording session.
The 1933 sides include Benny Goodman, Jack Teagarden, Frankie Newton, Chu Berry, Buck Washington, and Billy Taylor. The earlier sides include Clarence Williams on piano.
