BEST COAST JAZZ: EmArcy MG 36039: Original MONO DG 1st Press Blue/Silver 1955
Offered is Best Coast Jazz, with Clifford Brown (Trumpet); Herb Geller (Alto Sax); Max Roach (Drums); Joe Maini Jr. (Sax); Walter Benton (Tenor Sax); Kenny Drew (Piano); Curtis Counce (bass)- on EmArcy Record label, MG-36039.
THE VINYL: EX+ : This glossy, seldom-played disc has 2 hairline marks. I suppose the former owner didn't care for the music (!!). This is the original mono pressing by EmArcy from 1956- a classic in Bop Jazz, & in superb condition.
THE COVER: EX : Laminated front cover with no peeling. The seams are intact; no writing; no stains; some minor edgewear on the bottom seam. The only visible flaw is the back cover for age-related yellowing. Included is the original inner sleeve ("The Finest in High-Fidelity EmArcy Jazz"). It is in NM condition with no rips or tears. I have placed the disc in an EMI plastic-coated sleeve to better protect its condition.
This album is one of the few left to the world as a result of the tragically shortened career of the talented Clifford Brown. From Wikipedia:

"Best Coast Jazz is an album by American jazz trumpeter Clifford Brown featuring tracks recorded in 1954 and released on the EmArcy label. Further tracks from the same sessions were released as Clifford Brown All Stars in 1956 following Brown's untimely death.
