BIDDLEVILLE QUINTETTE QRS 7070 Preaching Gospel singing with sermon

See photos for condition.   Shiny sides with small scratches / scuffs consistent with age.  Some distortion in louder passages.  Plays well! Gorgeous labels!
The Biddleville Quintette hailed from Charlotte, North Carolina, and recorded for Paramount and QRS from 1926-1929.  The group's more expressive style was a joyful departure from other more formal university a cappella ensembles of the same genre. 
Records with this type of gloss and quality of recording rarely come up on the QRS label.  One side here features a very well-executed, simultaneous singing and sermonizing passage - intriguing to hear! Overall, this is excellent gospel music and preaching from the late 20's !
