To my knowledge this record has only been offered for sale on Ebay 1 time.
A clean V+ copy sold for over $2000 almost 4 years ago.
The bad news is this copy is not in good condition.It is covered with scratches and scuffs and has an inch long crack at the beginning( see photos). I played both sides on a Victrola and a Jukebox.In both cases STARVATION BLUES played through with no skips but surface noise is present throughout,overpowering the opening guitar intro.It plays much better when the vocal comes in and the guitar playing sounds audible and good.
DOWN IN THE BASEMENT BLUES played through with no skips on the Victrola but loud ticks/pops for 1st 10 seconds.The rest of the song plays with loud surface noise but audible voice and guitar.
When played on the jukebox it skipped at the very beginning and play graded similar to the Victrola after the skip.
Labels look good but Starvation Blues side has some kind of residue that is visible in the photo
Definitely not the cleanest copy out there,but it's my understanding that not many have survived the test of time.You will be hard pressed to find one in any condition. Bid accordingly!
The 78 will be sandwiched between multiple pieces of 10" protective cardboard on either side,taped up and placed in an oversized box with packing peanuts
