Up for bids is an original Mono LP by Big Brother & The Holding Company called "Cheap Thrills" on Columbia Records. KCL 2900. 1968.

Featuring Janis Joplin on lead vocals!

EXTREMELY RARE COMMERCIAL MONO PRESSING!

IN 1968, COLUMBIA RECORDS WAS PHASING OUT MONO TO TRY AND PUSH STEREO, SO MONO PRESSINGS OF THIS ARE VERY LIMITED!!!

U.S. pressing, NOT Canadian.

Labels are NOT glossy.

Gatefold cover.

Comes with original plastic "sack" inner sleeve.

NOTE:

The grades I use are Mint (rarely used grade), Near Mint, VG+++ (rarely used grade), VG++, VG+, VG, VG Minus, Good+, Good, Fair and Poor.

Cover is in VG+ condition. There is some minor wear and on front and back. Top of spine has a small ding. 3" split at top corner by opening. Minor wear on spine.

I would rate the record’s condition as a STRONG VG+. Has some minor scuff marks that don't greatly affect play. There is a semi-deep hairline scratch on Side 1 that goes from the near-end of "Summertime" and stops in the beginning of "Piece Of My Heart". It "ticks" infrequently at one point during "Summertime". Any glare on labels is from camera. They are really nice! Overall, this is still very clean and sounds great on my player!
