Description
This is a very rare original copy of the excellent BLUES FOR 9 STRINGS LP by BIG JOE WILLIAMS on Blueway Records (BV-1056) from 1962. A fantastic Delta blues record from this legendary artist. The vinyl is in G+ condition with heavy visible surface marks and wear, particularly on the A-side, and audible surface noise (crackle, occasional drag, occasional pops and clicks); definitely not for audiophiles, but an enjoyable copy where the music cuts through the noise thanks to a quality mastering and pressing, and that sounds better than it looks. I have listened to the vinyl twice in it's entirety for skips, and while I heard none on my Technics 1200 turntable, the condition of the surface is such that results may vary slightly on some turntables. Just be aware of this before bidding. The cover is in VG+ condition; opened, but still partially hanging on to it's original shrink wrap, which has been torn away in a few spots, as pictured, with a few minor scuffs and dings at the edges and a red proprietary stamp on the back side under the shrink, as pictured. Don't pass up a rare gem like this!
